Randy Williams Lectures

Artists on Artwork

Randy Williams lectures regularly at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he has been a museum educator for over 35 years.

In the ‘Artists On Artwork’ lecture series, visitors are encouraged and guided to view the Met’s collection through artists’ eyes. The artist discusses works of art in the collection that have influenced his work. The lecture was limited to 45 people in Gallery 534, Vélez Blanco Patio, first floor. Randy Williams is an artist, professor and museum educator whose work explores the tangible experiences of his past as well as current events through installation, prints, drawings and mixed media. The event was part of MetFridays: New York’s Night Out.
